J was just J, not Jet. He hated that name in fact. Long story short ..he was just J cause he hated his Dad so much..no way would he ever go by Jet. Besides, he hadn't seen his dad since he was eight.
Not that he'd mention it to Stevie. After all, it was all good. Especially, at work. It was like Stevie was his work wife or something. It was amazing the yogurt place was still going. A lot of businesses were doomed these days, but life was still good at Joey's Yogurt.
Yeah, J knew he didn't want much out of life. But this was the only job he's ever had and well, Stevie came along and that just put a new perspective on things. So sure, he'd make time for Stevie.
"But..but should we be here?" He asked right away as in this was not where Stevie lived. In fact, J googled it, like weeks ago.
"It's cool." Oh, that petite Stevie was practically fairy goodness. His little shrug and his sleepy eyes could only mean something..shouldn't it? J looked at him blankly. Were they going to sleep together? He couldn't help but grin.
Stevie ordered pizza and it came hot. All though, J really wasn't hungry. At least not for pizza. Oh yeah, there was something in his pants that need attention, but then again they were not lovers. At least not yet.
He settled down at the coffee table with a beer and the food.
"I have to tell you something," but of course, Stevie took a bite of pizza and chewed as if he might be in love with it. J blinked. Imagining all sorts of affection. Finally, he cleared his throat back to reality. J took a sip of his beer.
"Well, do tell," J was tired of waiting. "What is it?"
They did like each other. They'd kissed once when they were taking out trash late at night at the yogurt shop. J remembered it well. He hadn't dreamed it. God, what was Stevie waiting for? J pressed his lips tight as he watched him.
"Um, I've had only one boyfriend," Stevie managed to say as he took to his beer then. J was certain he'd finish it off as he squeezed his eyes tight. Funny, J knew the beer burned his throat. God, what he'd give for a Dr. Pepper. Seriously, they didn't need alcohol for what he wanted to do.
Naturally, Stevie looked around a bit as if they needed music. J hated the hesitation.
"Well..well, I never had a boyfriend." Was that what Stevie wanted to know? "I never found anybody..until you."
Stevie nodded, but he didn't smile. He looked even a little sad. He sat there in the big fluffy chair while J sat across from him with the coffee table in the way. J had the old green velvet couch all to himself.
Stevie wiggled his lips. Then pressed them tight. "It's just..you remind me of someone."
"Someone?" J winced.
"God, he wears his hair a lot like yours except it's blue, sometimes or just brown." Stevie shrugged.
"Oh really?" J didn't want to be in a huff, but what was that supposed to mean.
"It's like...I dunno..He...You...are a doppelganger."
"Doppelganger?"
Stevie nodded. J hugged himself then, but Stevie came over to him then as the pizza went cold. Stevie's fingers touched J's face. He pulled him in for a kiss as if it was a test of some kind. Naturally, J kissed him back. The heat rose between them as if they could forget what had been said. J wanted to know Stevie's lips and of course, Stevie's hands could reach places J hadn't even thought about until now.
Whoa, steamy! And a new (maybe?) couple in the making. I'm glad J's getting what he wants -- even if we don't yet know just who he's a doppelganger of. Speaking of which, "deja poo -- the feeling that you've heard this crap before" is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteEspecially end of the chapter is so romantic. Not sure but J looks abit uncomfortable.
